Sydney YOLO trip (backpack style) Part 2/5

Before i move on to second part, here are photos of me and the girls i got from my other friend - first day of the trip.

So on the second day, we continued our journey by visiting one of the park in the city- Hyde Park. Basically we just walk around and snap pics. The park is big and consist of 2 parts. There are some construction work going on. So you know, girls like to snap pic *practically any spot can be a potential ahaha*.My girls just can't stop snapping pics (Don't really wanna admit but i am one of them, too i suppose) LOL.

saw the camera?:D

:D
We then visited St Mary cathedral.
We are not allowed to take picture inside *toobad :/ , but the interior part is simply amazing. almost breathlessly beautiful.
This makes me thought of Xavier (my nephew). Whenever we( me and my sis) ask him how does he usually pray when he is in church, he will always act, cross his finger, and murmur *LOL  (cause he always follow his dad to church.) So basically we took allot of pictures.

MORE
AND
JUMPSHOT!
:'D
Then we head over to DFO ( Direct factory outlet) at Homebush after spending almost two hours there. You can head over there by train, directly to Homebush station, then walk/ take bus to the destination. We depart from st James station, which is just right at the corner of Hyde Park.

Studying the map before we depart *backpackers style*. However, the person at the counter gave us the wrong direction to DFO, instead of Homebush station, he directed us to another station further away -.- .
Luckily, we managed to got down at Homebush station, navigate using Google map( very important and useful) and walked for like 15 minutes to the destination ( save$ erhmm). There is an option to take bus 525 which is only 5 minutes away. Now here comes the funny story-- way before we come to Sydney, we thought we will be shopping like crazy at the outlet here *cause Harbourtown in Adelaide is just THUMBSUP :P * , so we sort of thought that this outlet will be more or less the same----even brought lesser stuff so that we are able to fit in the extra stuffs that we might buy, keeping it within the weigh limits *too high expectation hmmhmm*.
ENDS UP, we buy NOTHING. Yes NOTHING. Cause you know why? there are no sales and it is a shopping mall like place, like a smaller version of Sunway Pyramid *Dissapopointed.
We should have headed to Birkenhead point instead -.- * Which is also quite far way from the city*

Empty handed, we went back to Thai Town in the city to have dinner. Initially wanted to try out a very famous Thai restaurant- Chat Thai, but because there was a long que and we were too hungry (price is also an average of 20++), so we went to the other Thai restaurant down the street.
Seriously forgot the name, but it tastes like char kuey teow back in M'sia, a non-spicy version.

Tom Yam Gong

Green Curry Chicken
The taste is okay, not a wow but at least it doesn't taste bad. Price wise is reasonable too. Forgot what is the name of the restaurant (Just futher down the street after you pass by Chat Thai) :P

So yeah, here's part two- Day two of our trip. Not a great one but farrrrrrrrr better than first day, guess the trip is getting better and better as days go by.( More epic things ahead though hahah)
So, next post will be up asap, wait for Part3!

Have a great day! :)

Sydney YOLO trip (backpack style) Part 1/5

So hi again, i just came back from my Easter break trip in Sydney few days ago and the moment i touch down back in Adelaide, i totally turn into shut down mode. *Unbelievably slept for 7 hours from 10am to 530pm*. Totally thought i would mess up my sleeping routine but luckily i managed to sleep for another 9 hours that night ahaha. Well well, i will elaborate this later on and now i have to start off with my trip....FIRST! *can't wait!*

First of all, the reason why we want to travel to Sydney is simply out of random. Okay maybe not, most probably is that we found out that the flight tix to Sydney is somehow cheap cheaper. I had visited Sydney appx 10 years ago when i was still a kiddo and all i can remember is tits and bits of thee details.

Me and the girls are so excited for the trip!
Yeah, so we departed from Adelaide airport, reached there an hour earlier, and we grabbed a coffee before boarding at Cibo* Adelaide's very famous coffee spot*. Ordered a caffe latte.

We Saw rainbow when we are on the plane!
We reached Sydney in the afternoon and straightaway we took a cab *taking cab is cheaper than taking train/bus* to our hostel - 'Malaysian Hall'. Yes, it is the cheapest place to stay in Sydney so far, only $6 per night for three night and $15 for the following night *YOUSAY WHAT?!* yes, unbelievably cheap ryte! haha, despite being a bit further from the city, we saved allot in accommodation, only $63 for five nights! *including $15 for service charge* :D heehee.

Well, if you want to stay there, there's only one condition, you are a malaysian student that is currently studying in Austrlia university, and there you go, cheap accommodation. The city is just a 15 min bus ride away. In case you wonder how does the room looked like, it is a room for 2 with attached bathroom and a balcony.

*Ignore our messy room! LOL*

The room condition is okay, very clean except the fact that it is a very old building. Also, me and my roomate were visited by baby cockroaches during our stay*girlsnightmare*, but nothing much to expect since you are paying such low rate.Overall, it was a nice experience cause you also managed to taste authentic malaysian style breakfast $5 and dinner $10 *feelslikehomeagain! :D*

So after checking in to the hostel, we immediately start off our trip with the first thing on the list - visit Jamie Oliver's restaurant- Jamie's Italian.

So we hopped on bus 373 to the city and used google map to find our way there. Honestly, we have no idea about Sydney and that's why we got lost a few times. Undeniably, we were quite frustrated during the first day, lost, cold as it was raining and tired.

Anyways, we managed to find the restaurant. As it is not dinner time yet, we immediately got served with a table. The price range is as what we expected as it is a well-known place, mostly from $20 and up. SO, we ordered according to online reviews, blogs and recommendation.
Nice environment they have.

We ordered 4 dishes in the end, we are all tired and hungry at the same time, having high expectation on the food.
 Crab & squid risotto

  Jools favourite

 Fish stew

 and Fish antipasti.

The dish was nicely decorated but taste wise, i have had a much better risotto back then in M'sia, Jools favourite is one of the best among four however it is only a normal pasta, which i am sure you can get it in other place with cheaper price range. Fish stew is the best among four with mussels, fish, prawns. As for antipasti, it was supposed to be the starter, but ends up they were served last. We ordered for 1 person portion.
The dish was presented nicely but the taste is not as impressive as it looks.

All i can say is, this is probably not what we prefer. * I rang my bestie later on and she said that their pork dishes are better.*

Ends up, we are quite dissappointed on it. We don't find it as good as the others and there's really nothing special. Sorry to say but with the price range, it is not really a worth deal. We had Burger King after the expensive dinner. :/

So, after the meal, we went for a walk in the city, compared to Adelaide, Sydney is really like KL, cars, jam, tall buidlings everywhere. *prefer Adelaide* more. LOL.

We got lost, exhausted and got grumpy LOL hahaha, but we managed to got our way back to hostel in the end. It was a long day that day.

So Part 1 Sydney YOLO trip ends here. Wait for the next kay!

Goodday everyone! :)

Kmovie- 七号房的礼物 / Gift from room seven /Miracle in cell No.7 (7번방의 선물)

So recently i came across with this movie and i finally got the chance to watch it. You can stream online and it is available on one of the china website. I have seen several recommendation on instagram and it is highly recommended. So despite of the assignments and test, me and my roomate decided to watch it together two days ago.
The film is a heartwarming comedy and family melodrama and is basically about a mentally challenged man wrongfully imprisoned for murder who builds friendships with the hardened criminals in his cell, and they help him see his daughter again by breaking her in. Sounds impossible in reality but everything can happen in movie, LOL So yeah, i dont want to be a spoiler here, but the movie does show how unfair and foolish sometimes a society can be, and how power can be manipulated unfairly. Just so you know, this movie has slight resemblance to 'I am Sam', except the fact that I am Sam have better ending than this movie.Ya know, Korean drama/movie always favour sad ending but this movie is actually a comedy too putting the sad scenes apart.

Overall, the whole movie is good. It brings up the simplest and purest care of a father to his daughter. He may not be the most capable father, or do what other normal father usually do, but he cares, loves everyone around him. Don't wanna be a spoiler but that is also one of the reason that got him into deep trouble. -.-
The little actress really did a good job in the movie! Acting skills *Thumbs up*

So, here i highly recommend everyone to watch this movie. Though this movie is kind of ridiculous-- 'prisoner living like they are not', but the storyline is indeed one that will touch your heart. Me and my roomie ended up with swollen eyes LOL. .Rating 5/5.

WOkkiee, have to continue with my assignments. Have a great day!

Hello from Kangarooland.

It is my first blog post here. Yeah, the episode on the other blogspot has officially ended. That was the blogspot i first have starting from 2009 i guess, eversince i started my college life. Time flies, i used to share thoughts there, lots of photo, it was my teenage life. and now, it is a whole new page, so first let me introduce myself.

Kaylee here, 22 currently studying in aussie. I love life, but i am lazy most of the time LOL. Sometimes i feel motivated but i am always in my own comfort zone. One of the reason that i choose to complete my undergraduate in overseas is because i wanna see more of the world, to step out of my own comfort zone. From now onwards, i promise myself to live out of my comfort zone. There is a saying that human only have 30,000 days on average to live, if he/she is lucky enough. So, live your life, from this point onwards.

I am easily satisfied and preferred being real. I hate backstabbers and bad-mouth. Stay clean or stay out . Literally love all my great friends. Wanted to step on everypart of the world someday especially Disneyland' lol. I felt confident whenever i play piano and and i am a perfect pitch, not being trained, but found out somehow that i can and realised that this is not what everyone can do. and this is discovered by my highschool music tutor randomly. Being able to play by ear is the one thing i like about myself. I am a karma believer And i believe in miracles.

I chose to look at the good side of everyone instead of the bad part. Not everyone is perfect but a kind heart is a must. So, this is me. Have a great day!

Love, Kaylee ;)
